Settlement Agreement
CONSUMER LAW GROUP is representing persons who were prescribed and ingested REXULTI between February 16, 2017 and August 23, 2025 and who developed one or more of the following Compulsive Behaviours and Impulse Control Disorders:
- Gambling;
- Hypersexuality;
- Binge eating;
- Shopping and/or spending;
and their family members, dependents, heirs and estates.
On November 12, 2025, the Superior Court of Quebec approved a Canada-wide class action settlement of CAD $4.75 million that will be used to pay compensation for persons that file valid, timely and approved Claims.

Conditions for eligibility:
1. You must have been prescribed and ingested REXULTI between February 16, 2017 and August 23, 2025;
2. You must have been taking REXULTI for at least a month or more;
3. You must have developed one or more of the Compulsive Behaviours and Impulse Control Disorders (gambling, hypersexuality, binge eating, or shopping / spending) while on or within 3 months of discontinuing your use of REXULTI;
4. You must file a properly filled out Claim Package and include all necessary documentation (pharmacy records, medical files, proof of damages, gambling records, employment records, etc...) before August 1, 2026.
Types of injury:
1. Psychological harm has 3 categories:
Category 1 - Mild (1-6 months on Rexulti + a Compulsive Behaviour and Impulse Control Disorder)
Category 2 - Moderate (6 months plus on Rexulti + a Compulsive Behaviour and Impulse Control Disorder OR 1-6 months on Rexulti + treatment was sought for a Compulsive Behaviour and Impulse Control Disorder)
Category 3 - Severe (6 months plus on Rexulti + a Compulsive Behaviour and Impulse Control Disorder + experienced bankruptcy, divorce, re-mortgaging a property, criminal prosecution)
Residual catastrophic injury can also be claimed in a addition to mild, moderate, or severe psychological injury (contracting HIV, Hepatitis, non-treatable sexually transmitted infection, suicide attempt or related hospitalization).
2. Financial Loss has 3 categories:
A) Gambling losses
B) Income loss (termination or loss of employment as a result of gambling)
C) Loan losses (loan from a bank, private lender, friend, family member)
Type of compensation: these amounts are ONLY estimates and are subject to proportional decreases, depending on how many claims are filed.
Pyschological Harm — Mild $6,531.25; Moderate $29,687.50; Severe $102,600; Catastrophic $71,250.
Financial Losses has a maximum for all Claimants together of $570,000.
Family Members (spouse can receive 10% of Claimant's payment, parents and children can receive 5% of Claimant's payment, grandparents, brothers, and sisters can receive 2.5% of Claimant's payment). The maximum for all Family Members together is $199,500.
Determination of validity: The Claims Administrator will decide the levels and amount of compensation. There is an appeal procedure.
