**IMPORTANT UPDATE**
This class action has been certified by the Court of Appeal of Quebec.
CONSUMER LAW GROUP has launched a Canada-wide class action lawsuit against Boiron Inc. on behalf of individuals who have purchased the product Oscillococcinum or Oscillo.
The class action involves the deceptive, misleading, false, and unfair advertising of Oscillo as having the ability to cure the flu with a purported active ingredient “Anas Barbarie Hepatis et Codis extractum” which is an extract of the heart and liver of a duck.
Contrary to what has been advertised to the public, Oscillo is nothing more than a placebo pill that is comprised of sugar. Futhermore, even if the purported active ingredient were present in any significant way, it has no known impact on the human body whatsoever.
Consumers of Oscillo were misled into purchasing a placebo product that contains no health benefits causing them economic damages.
