Fixodent / PoliGrip Denture Cream Side Effects National Class Action |
CONSUMER LAW GROUP has launched a national class action lawsuit against the makers of PoliGrip and Fixodent denture adhesive products, manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline and Procter & Gamble, on behalf of individuals who have suffered from zinc induced neuropathy (nerve damage).
Zinc induced neuropathy (nerve damage) caused by the use of PoliGrip and Fixodent denture adhesive products, includes the following symptoms:
• Tingling or numbness in the extremities
• Abnormal sensations
• Foot pain
• Loss of balance
• Heavy feeling in the legs
• Inability to hold objects
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Lethargy
• Anemia
• Loss of sensation
• Muscle Weakness
• Abdominal Pain
• Unexplained Pain

The class action lawsuit identifies the group of affected persons as:
o All person residing in Canada who have purchased and/or used any type of Fixodent or PoliGrip denture adhesive products, or any other group to be determined by the Court.
Alternately (or as a subclass)
o All persons residing in Quebec who have purchased and/or used any type of Fixodent or PoliGrip denture adhesive products, or any other group to be determined by the Court.
These PoliGrip and Fixodent denture adhesive products include, but are not limited to, Fixodent Complete, Fixodent Control, Fixodent Free, Fixodent Fresh, Fixodent Comfort, Fixodent Control to Go, Fixodent Control Plus Scope, Fixodent Extra Hold Powder, Fixodent Regular Hold Power, PoliGrip Original, PoliGrip Extra Strength, PoliGrip Advanced Care, PoliGrip Ultra Fresh, PoliGrip Ultra Adhesive Powder, and Super PoliGrip Comfort Strips.
