Baby Bath Products National Class Action |
CONSUMER LAW GROUP has launched a national class action lawsuit against Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, and L’Oreal on behalf of individuals who have purchased or used certain baby bath products on their children.
The class action litigation is based on the companies using 1,4-dioxane and formaldehyde in their products, which are on Health Canada’s cosmetic ingredient hotlist, and which are not identified as ingredients on the products’ labels. The class action demands the return of the purchase price of the products, as well as, damages for any skin rashes that may have occurred.
The baby bath products involved include:
• L’Oréal Kids Extra Gentle 2-in-1 Fast Dry Shampoo - Burst of Cool Melon
• Pampers Kandoo Foaming Handsoap - Magic Melon
• Huggies Naturally Refreshing Cucumber & Green Tea Baby Wash
The class action lawsuit identifies the group of affected persons as:
o All residents in Canada who purchased and/or used any product designed, manufacture, distributed, sold or otherwise put onto the marketplace by Respondent, which contained either 1,4-dioxane and/or formaldehyde, or any other group to be determined by the Court;
Alternately (or as a subclass)
o All residents in Quebec who purchased and/or used any product designed, manufacture, distributed, sold or otherwise put onto the marketplace by Respondent, which contained either 1,4-dioxane and/or formaldehyde, or any other group to be determined by the Court;
